We are excited to announce that we have chosen St Catherine’s Hospice as our new chosen charity for Resolve Financial Solutions!
Supporting the local communities that we work in is a key part of our business and raising funds for local charities is a key part of this. So why St Catherine’s Hospice? As a financial planning firm our job is to help people plan for the future and therefore supporting a charity which provides end of life care and support to individuals and families in the West Sussex and East Surrey areas seemed a perfect fit.
Mortgage and Protection Director Chris Lees, recently completed a team trek in the Sahara raising over £2,500 for St Catherine’s Hospice. He has often been found collecting for St Catherine’s Hospice outside his local Tesco or Curry’s. As a team, we thought we could really make a difference this year and help St Catherine’s Hospice with raising money to assist with the build of their state-of-the-art hospice in the Pease Pottage area of Crawley.
Every year, St Catherine’s Hospice cares for over 2,000 people in the local community of West Sussex and East Surrey, who are living with a life-limiting illness. As well as caring for patients, the hospice offers support to the families and loved ones who are left behind. Their new building will enable the hospice to increase the number of beds they can offer and every room will look out over a secluded, landscaped patio filled with plants.

Our first team charity event will be the Thames Path Challenge in September. The event will see five of us complete the second quarter of the challenge – Hurst Park to Runnymede 22km walk. To show your support to the Resolve team, please donate whatever you can on our JustGiving page.

In addition to raising money for St Catherine’s, once the new hospice has been built, we are aiming to volunteer time as a team to assist in the planting the gardens that patients rooms will look out over, so watch this space!
