Financial Planning

What this involves

We want to understand you and what you want from life.

That’s why our first meeting will be about you and not your money. Once we know our clients better, we can start to put together a plan. Using our knowledge and some financial planning software, we can explore what is achievable for you.

We will look at different scenarios and discuss what your options are. We will then provide you with our advice and include our knowledge of pensions, tax and investments to help your plan become reality.

Introduction Call

Our introduction calls are approximately 20 minutes long and give us the opportunity to find out your initial objectives. We will give you a short introduction to Resolve Financial Solutions and then schedule in a date for our Discover Meeting which can take place face-to-face or via zoom.

Discovery Meeting

This is all about you, not your money. You are unique. We help you identify what’s important to you and your family. Your motivations and objectives in life. It’s about taking time to get to know each other and most importantly, you need to feel you can trust us and be confident that our values align with yours. There is no cost to this meeting.

Strategy Meeting

Now we can start creating your plan. We can develop simple, illustrative graphs showing you what the future may look like built on your spending, risk profiles, existing plans, investment preferences and objectives.

  • “What if” scenario’s such as retiring earlier, extra expenditure, downsizing and gifting,
  • Understanding of shortfalls and risks,
  • Review of Existing Plans analysing cost, performance, risk and features,
  • One Page Summary of all finances.

Our Moderate service includes the reviewing of 2 existing polices, such as Investment ISAs or Pensions. The Extensive service includes the reviewing of 4 policies. Additional policy reviews can be accommodated at a cost of £200 per policy.

SIMPLE

Our Simple Service is for clients who wish to start saving for the future e.g., for their first house, children or retirement.

This service includes the setting up of a new investment product such as an ISA, Junior ISA or Pension. You are likely to have no existing policies to review.
MODERATE

Our Moderate Service is designed for clients who have already begun saving into pensions and ISAs.

You are efficiently building funds to support retirement or looking at ways to help cover future school or university fees or might be looking at how you can drawdown funds from existing pots to support your retirement lifestyle. You are more likely to have existing policies that need to be reviewed. We will use cashflow models as part of this service to help show where you are now and illustrate the affect of decisions you can make.
EXTENSIVE

Our Extensive Service covers all items listed within our Moderate Service plus some additional items.

You have more complicated tax situations that cover pension annual and lifetime allowances. We will potentially consider further tax efficient investments outside of ISAs and Pensions.

You might also be looking towards inheritance liabilities and considering options to preserve or transfer money to future generations to ensure their financial wellbeing.

Recommendation Meeting

In simple, clear English and using our knowledge of products, tax planning and investments we talk through recommendations that would meet your objectives. It is imperative that you understand what and why you are taking a course of action and the value that will bring to you and your family.
